Digital Health gets a new online home

Digital Health Intelligence Limited has today launched a new website to provide a home for Digital Health’s News, Networks, Intelligence, providing a platform to enable users to make smarter connections.

We aim to provide a really helpful resource for everybody interested in helping to understand and shape the fast evolving field of digital health.

The new website has been built to be responsive and uses the Bootstrap framework to provide a site that will work equally well on smart phones, tablets, laptops and desktops.

Digitalhealth.net brings together the most exciting and innovative parts of the old EHI portfolio. Starting with trusted, independent news and features; coupled with the data, analysis and benchmarking tools of the intelligence business; and now underpinned by the best practice events and collaboration communities of the CCIO and Health CIO networks.

Digital Health remains dedicated to covering all aspects of health IT, particularly in the NHS, but we will also cover the fast-evolving world of digital health and disruptive innovation now being unleashed.

Our future coverage will also reflect the growing number of actors involved in health and social care, particularly the central role of the connected, empowered patient.

We have decided the best way to cover this complex landscape is to create single news channel and to grow a series of subject based hubs.  We begin with hubs dedicated to analytics, clinical software, digital patient, infrastructure, interoperability, services and shared records. Others will follow.

Each subject-based hub will provide the home for all related content, whether that is generated by Digital Health or contributed by suppliers or readers. This will include news, features, webinars, special reports, case studies and white papers.

All content published will clearly show the content type and what hub it lives within.  Each detail page will also clearly sign-post what related Intelligence and Network resources are available.

Another big change will be provide better channels for the CCIO and Health CIO networks.  In particular, we aim to provide much better visibility of our highly successful programme of Network events, including the Summer School and Best Practice webinars.

In the next stage of development we will also start to integrate the fast growing Digital Health Networks collaboration platform.  This is currently a separately run, invitation only, best practice community.  We will continue to grow by hosting further discrete Digital Health communities.

The main Digital Health weekly newsletter will remain, with a new look, together with a series of ‘Best of Digital Health’ digests.  These will be joined by targeted newsletters for Intelligence, Jobs and Networks.

The landing seam that directs readers to digitalhealth.net or the EHI Live show and EHI Awards will remain in place until the end of October.  Please bookmark www.digitalhealth.net.

Taken together, the changes above complete the transition from EHI to the new Digital Health and provide a platform to better serve readers in the future.  We have ambitious future plans and the new site provides the foundations needed to deliver them.

It’s an exciting set of changes but we are very deliberately calling it a beta launch, because there will be bugs to iron out.  Please do bear with us on any early teething problems.

We sincerely hope readers like the new Digital Health. We want to hear what you think do email us at info@digitalhealth.net or tweet @digitalhealth2.
