NPfIT clinical leads to attend HC2005

  • 17 March 2005

The British Computer Society Health Informatics Forum (BCSHIF) have announced two new sessions at next week’s Healthcare Computing 2005 (HC2005) conference in Harrogate where delegates will have the opportunity to meet that National Programme for IT’s clinical leads.

The two sessions will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday. The leads will also be joining the closing session at which Alan Burns, head of service implementation at NPfIT, will be speaking about the importance of patient safety.

According to BSCHIF, the move is "an excellent sign of the desire by NPfIT to communicate with health service workers and to listen to their views".

Richard Granger, director general of NPfIT, will be speaking on Tuesday morning and giving an update on progress in NHS IT reform in England.
