Merck wins Webby health award

The winners of the ninth annual Webby awards, billed as the Oscars of the Internet, have been announced with a general health advice site published by Merck winning the health category.

The prestigious US-based awards, organized by the international academy of digital arts and sciences, are intended to honor excellence in Web design, creativity, usability and functionality

The category for best health sites on the Internet was won by The Merck Manual – Second Home Edition Online, published by pharma giant Merck & co, Inc

In the health people’s voice winner, chosen by members of their public casting their vote online, the winner was ‘HIV Stops With Me’, published by Better World Advertising http://www.hivstopswithme.org
