CSE Servelec to upgrade Scottish mental health system

  • 17 May 2007

CSE Servelec has been commissioned by the Mental Welfare Commission for Scotland to upgrade its integrated information management project (IMP) system to reflect changes in the Mental Health (Scotland) Act 2003.

The upgrade will cover changes in the forms required by the new Mental Health Act, and will enable the IMP system to process additional forms to support the recording of the processes around the 2003 Act, together with the Criminal Procedures Act and the Adults with Incapacity Act.

The IMP system, which is based on CSE Servelec’s Rio system, has been use for 18-months.

Les Nicolson, Project Manager, Information Systems Mental Welfare Commission for Scotland commented that, "In the 18 months since we implemented the IMP system, the Mental Welfare Commission for Scotland has continued to enjoy a successful relationship with CSE Servelec."

Nicolson added: "The Scottish Executive and the Commission were keen to implement the new form set as quickly as possible, and CSE Servelec was able to promptly respond with an upgrade programme that met our expectations."
