Carestream boosts European profile
- 12 November 2007
Carestream Health is expanding its European presence with three new European ‘Centre of Excellence’ sites, adding to the six existing healthcare settings already awarded the title.
The sites will host visits for other healthcare professionals who want to see products in action and aid research and design on behalf of Carestream Health to help develop new digital medical imaging and healthcare IT solutions.
The three new Centres of Excellence are:
- Erasme Hospital, Brussels, Belgium
- Grupo Português de Saúde, Lisbon, Portugal
- Stavanger University Hospital, Stavanger, Norway
The six existing centres are:
- Uppsala University Hospital, Uppsala, Sweden
- Hopital Fondation Saint Joseph, Paris, France
- Florence Nightingale Krankenhaus Kaiserswerth, Düsseldorf, Germany
- Grupo Hospitalario Quiron, Madrid, Spain
- USL Ferrara – Lagosanto Hospital, Lagosanto, Italy
- Santa Maria Nuova Hospital, Reggio Emilia, Italy
In addition Carestream Health has 11 other locations around the world, at facilities that have implemented systems from the company’s existing portfolio.
The centres have helped Carestream complete five new contracts around Europe for their solutions in the autumn quarter.
In Italy, AUSL Bologna has ordered Carestream PACS for 14 locations and Carestream Information Management Solutions to deliver enterprise-wide business continuity in addition to data protection and disaster recovery. The healthcare system also ordered professional services to handle integration with other systems and data migration from legacy archives.
