Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust use Affiniti to manage IP infrastructure

The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust has appointed Affiniti to provide and manage its IP infrastructure, upgrade existing networks and implement a high-performance wireless network. The 10-year contract will see Affiniti initially provide a comprehensive managed data network at the trust’s Dewsbury hospital as well as to the two new hospitals currently being built at Pinderfields and Pontefract to provide improved technological services for patients.

Tunstall and Sheffield PCT celebrate World COPD Awareness Day

Telehealth and telecare specialist Tunstall teamed up with Sheffield PCT to mark World COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) Awareness Day at a special event at Sheffield Wednesday’s Hillsborough football ground on Wednesday. The event provided locals with an opportunity for people to learn about COPD and how to improve the quality of life for people affected by it.

Nursing Times compiling top 100 place for nurses to work list

PACS team scoops major prize in Computing awards

The NHS Connecting for Health team deploying digital medical imaging systems across England has been honoured at a national computing awards ceremony. The Picture Archiving & Communication Systems programme was awarded the title of Public Sector Project of the Year in Computing magazine’s Awards of Excellence. The programme was recognised for its success in having "delivered major improvements in public services, or new ways of working, that have enabled greater efficiency or cost-effectiveness".
