InterSystems named best integration platform

  • 15 February 2008

InterSystems has retained its status as providers of the best integration platform in US-based KLAS’s healthcare technology research annual year end report.

The Ensemble rapid integration platform was voted the market leader in the integration engines field in the ‘KLAS 2007 Top 20: Year-End Awards’ report.

Data compiled by KLAS for its premium research service showed that in 11 of the 14 primary indicators measured for the interface engines market category, Ensemble received the highest score.

Areas where Ensemble topped competitors included “receiving your money’s worth”, “vendor executive involvement”, and “helping job performance”, among others. In addition, Ensemble was ranked at the top for 10 out of 12 business indicators.

The research firm’s reports are based on detailed interviews with healthcare technology product users nationwide and are recognized for accurate, impartial information delivery.

Feedback from users of Ensemble on KLAS’s website says, “Ensemble has good technology, and I like it. We are doing mostly HL7 here, and Ensemble provides a good way of connecting applications using the HL7 protocol between various servers. It does so in a relatively easy format. We would have to look pretty hard to find some type of protocol that InterSystems does not support.”

InterSystems’ vice president of strategic planning, Paul Grabscheid, said: “This is the second year in a row that we’ve received this award and we’re very pleased about this recognition of InterSystems Ensemble in the healthcare sector.

“KLAS is known industry-wide for its focus on garnering accurate information about the technologies used by healthcare executives. The need for reliable, innovative software technology in healthcare has never been more critical and we are excited that Ensemble adoption continues to grow among leading healthcare organisations.”
