iSoft to launch RadCentre in the Netherlands

  • 9 October 2008

Health IT specialist iSoft says it will launch its RadCentre radiology information system in the Netherlands this autumn.

RadCentre is a modern, scalable product designed for use in practices and hospitals. The system is said to be in use by more than 200 healthcare organisations across Europe.

Gary Cohen, iSoft CEO, said: “RadCentre becomes the second global iSoft diagnostics solution available in the Netherlands following the launch of LabCentre in July.”

RadCentre includes a web-based extension module that enables fast online communication with referring physicians whether within the hospital or in primary care. The software also offers highly specialist modules for nuclear medicine and radiotherapy.

ISoft says RadCentre is embedded in many leading Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS) and can integrate with DICOM based PACS to control the entire workflow of the radiology department or practice.

RadCentre is already used by healthcare organizations in Germany, Switzerland, Rumania, Hungary, Poland and Greece. Installations range from small practices to large university hospitals with hundreds of workstations at multiple locations.

In a separate development the company announced the appointment of Guillermo Ramas as its new managing director for Southern Europe, Spain and Latin America. Ramas has held experience in a number of roles at companies such as Lawson, Agresso Spain, Agfa Healthcare IT and Shared Medical Systems.
