Sweden’s Euromed Networks and e-Dict have been awarded a contract to supply MedSpeech digital dictation with integrated SpeechMagic speech recognition for the radiology department at the private Bupa Cromwell Hospital, London.

e-Dict is the UK distributor of MedSpeech, a dictation and speech recognition solution for healthcare developed by Euromed Networks. MedSpeech is integrated with Nuance’s Speech Magic speech recognition technology.

Mike Coxall, director at e-Dict said: “We will be implementing the MedSpeech system which will bring about the automation of reporting within Radiology with PACS and RIS – a key functionality which will bring long term gains in productivity and overall cost savings, further enhanced with a hospital wide roll out”.

Vikki Ayton, diagnostics programme manager at the Bupa Cromwell Hospital said: “We decided to select e-Dict as the successful supplier of EuroMed’s MedSpeech solution with integrated SpeechMagic. We certainly look forward to working with e-Dict”.
