  • 15 December 2009

Australian software company, iSoft has launched an integrated management solution specifically for aged and community care organisations.

The new iSoft Aged Care system provides residential and retirement components that manage care records, billing and financial, eBusiness and reporting requirements to improve patient care.

The system provides the ability to link information from acute and primary care so that patient, financial and reporting information can be exchanged between healthcare providers and government bodies and agencies.

The system is based on Microsoft’s .Net framework and Microsoft’s SQL Server, which uses security and authentication policies to enable all users to share information, regardless of their location.

According to the company it also provides robust security and audit capabilities, data accuracy and backup management, greater flexibility in regard to choice of hardware and facilitates a range of operating technologies, as well as the ability to migrate seamlessly from existing solutions in any organisation regardless of their size.

Gary Cohen, executive chairman and chief executive officer at iSoft, said: “The requirements of our aging populations are changing and it’s vital that aged care solutions stay ahead of that trend.

“ISoft Aged Care will facilitate an increased demand for community care as well as enabling aged care providers to offer flexible, all encompassing solutions to their customers increasing efficiency and improving aged care delivery.”
