iSoft deal on MetaVision in Germany

  • 17 February 2010

ISoft has signed a deal to distribute iMDsoft’s MetaVision patient data management system (PDMS) and clinical information solutions in Germany.

US-based iMDsoft, is a specialist in PDMS supporting perioperative, critical, and acute care, including clinical decision support, computerised physician order entry (CPOE) for medications, and quality of care reporting, and able to link patient vital signs data from patient monitoring devices.

The firm’s MetaVision Suite is designed to capture, document, analyze, report, and store the vast amount of patient related data generated in critical care environments.

The solution uses a single platform to automate workflows in a variety of high-acuity environments, including intensive care, pre-op, operating room, post-op, step-down units, and general in-patient beds. iMDSoft say the platform interoperates seamlessly with a wide range of medical devices and hospital information systems.

The agreement allows iSoft to distribute the MetaVision suite of products, initially in Germany only.

ISoft says iMDsoft’s products will complement and enhance iSoft’s range of products with a dedicated solution for perioperative and critical care for the German healthcare market.

Phyllis Gotlib, CEO of iMDsoft, said: “I believe that iSOFT has the reach and expertise to enable a wider network of customers in Germany to enjoy the proven benefits that MetaVision brings to users worldwide.”

“We are very happy to announce this new partnership as the Metavision suite is particularly suited to the German market,” said Reiner Niehaus, Manager and Sales Director at iSoft Health. “The possibility to integrate a state-of-the-art PDMS into our product portfolio will help us to offer a wider span of solutions to our customers. This will enable us to address new markets in Germany and to support our clients to provide healthcare services of higher quality.

iMDsoft’s MetaVision suite was first implemented in 1999, and is in use in major medical centres in the US, Europe and Asia.

iMDsoft has offices in the US, Holland, Israel, Japan and Germany.
