Agfa HealthCare has announced that it has signed more than 150 deals for its healthcare IT systems over the past eight months.
The company, which provides diagnostic imaging and healthcare IT solutions including picturing archiving and communications systems, radiology information systems and hospital information systems, signed almost 70 agreements in Europe alone.
The company has performed particularly well in the German market, with contracts for RIS and PACS systems signed with Schön Klinik Hamburg Eilbek, the Klinikum Stuttgart and at the Spital Zimmerberg, Spital Limmattal and Uniklinik Balgrist facilities.
It also signed deals with 20 more customers for its ORBIS clinical information system at large sites including in Bruchsal, Bad Aibling, Kassel and Osnabrück, Gesundheitszentrum Fricktal and the Krankenhaus Alb-Donau-Kreis.
In addition, the company made a number of significant wins in France include at the Centre Hospitalier Jean Monnet and the Centre Hospitalier de Montargis. Seven more facilities also signed deals for ORBIS.
In the UK, agreements included the installation of IMPAX for the Ministry of Defence and at St John and St Elizabeth Hospital in London.
In the Czech Republic an agreement was signed with the University Hospital Brno, while in Poland ten new agreements were signed since January 2010.
Volker Wetekam, executive vice president in charge of Agfa HealthCare’s IT division, said: "Agfa HealthCare has invested in major clinical and infrastructural innovations in IT.
"We have spent a significant amount of time understanding our customer needs over the past years, and have worked hard to deliver reliable and performing solutions which meet those needs from a clinical perspective.
“The success of these actions is reflected in the extensive growth of our customer base, on a global level, and across different care facilities, large and small.”
In addition to the wins in Europe, Agfa also signed almost 40 new agreements in the US and nine new agreements in Asia-Pacific.
