Swedish council buys IT from Sectra
- 13 December 2010
Norrbotten County Council has invested in a county-wide IT solution for radiology information management from Sectra.
The Sectra RIS will be integrated with an existing electronic patient record, so patient information from radiology examinations can be managed efficiently. The value of the new deal amounts to SEK 7m.
The county council will roll-out the new system at five hospitals and affiliated medical care centers at the end of 2011. Between them, these units conduct about 200,000 radiology examinations each year.
“Sectra RIS is a flexible system with a variety of configuration possibilities,” said Stig Palm, technical director of the Swedish Society of Radiology in Norrbotten County Council.
“By investing in this stable and reliable system, we have made a choice for the future.”
