ACS sees big growth in mobile users

Advanced Computer Software Group has seen a 200% increase in mobile users over the past year.

The group has published a trading update for the 12 months ending 29 February 2012, showing that full year revenues are up 10% to £98m.

The Health and Care division reported 8% growth, with a significant contribution from mobile applications iNurse and iConnect.

Chief executive Vin Murria said the growth in the Health and Care division was underpinned by significant growing interest in these mobile applications, which now boast more than 13,000 users.

That reflects an increase of 200% in the group’s mobile users over the past year. ACS sells an application, device and an airtime bundle from network providers.

“The relationships with Vodafone and Orange continue to progress well, with more than 13,000 nurses and carers using the Advanced mobile application software and services to take advantage of operating efficiency savings,” an ACS statement says.

The report says the group is also continuing to get a strong contribution from cross-selling cloud solutions, demonstrated by winning several multi-million contracts.

These include a £17m contract with Northern Ireland Department of Health Social care and Public Safety.

The Group expects to publish the full year results for the year ended 29 February 2012 in June 2012.
