Aura buys Immix

  • 23 January 2013

Aura Healthcare has bought Immix Health for an undisclosed sum.

Aura Healthcare was formed in November 2012 by Adrian Stevens, former director of iSOFT UK and Ireland. The company hopes the acquisition will help it see revenues in excess of £1m in its first year.

Immix, a Manchester-based company, has developed a clinical portal being piloted at various UK sites.

“With Immix we have acquired a small but hugely talented group of developers and ownership of its cutting edge technology,” said Stevens.

“There is a clear demand for this type of light touch technology, especially as it can be implemented much faster than traditional software and at a lower cost, so benefits and payback are more immediate.”

Immix Health’s founder and CEO Mark Hindle will become chief operating officer of Aura Healthcare and joins the board of the new company with immediate effect.

He said the move gives his company access to a wider market for its products and services through Aura’s network of partners both in the UK and internationally.

“Aura and Immix are a good fit,” Hindle said.

“Both companies are entrepreneurial and share a common vision of improving patient care through innovative, cost effective technology.”

Aura already provides a range of consultancy services and is a value-added reseller of selected software applications, HP hardware and a wide range of services.
