EHI Live and kicking in 2014
- 20 March 2014
EHI has launched EHI Live 2014 with a new-look website and a focus on the key areas of innovation, leadership and best practice.
Held at the NEC, Birmingham on 4-5 November, the lively event is now in its seventh year and growing annually with a record 3881 total attendees in 2013.
This year’s show will build on the growing commitment of clinical staff to health informatics with the Chief Clinical Information Officers’ third annual conference. Open to all doctors, nurses and allied health professionals the conference will have a strong focus on leadership and the development of a clinical workforce ready to take on the challenge of digital health.
In tandem with the CCIOs, EHI’s new Health Chief Information Officer’s Network will be at the show for a high level meeting bringing together CIOs, directors of IT and other senior healthcare informatics leaders from around the NHS.
The exhibition floor will host popular features, such as: ‘The Pipeline’, a conference stream in which suppliers preview new technologies and trends; the Best Practice Showcase which highlights practical examples of good work in NHS trusts and the EHI Awards Theatre in association with CGI, a platform for finalists and winners from EHI’s prestigious annual awards.
The show has a growing reputation as a place for the wider e-health community to meet, with an open door for organisations within the sector to co-locate national or regional meetings.
Director, Linda Davidson, said; “We will announce the 2014 co-locations soon but there is still room in EHI Live’s ‘big tent’. We would be pleased to talk to associations, user groups, societies and special interest groups that would like to use our facilities and take advantage of our large audience to gather members together and expand their reach.”
“We won praise last year for showing passion for and insight into our sector and the EHI Live team will be taking this achievement forward with inspiring speakers, good networking opportunities and the biggest exhibition in UK healthcare IT.”
