There are currently over 450 members of the fast-growing CCIO network of clinical IT leaders, established five years ago following a successful campaign for the creation of the role in the UK and appointment of CCIOs.

The sister Health CIO network, for NHS CIOs, IT Directors and other leaders, has rapidly grown to over 600 members.

The two networks, which increasingly work together, are focused on collaboration, best practice exchange, networking and sharing knowledge and experience through events and a thriving online community.   Key networking activities include best practice webinars, regional best practice meetings; and the annual Summer Schools.

The annual Summer Schools will be held in parallel at University of Manchester, 13-14 July, and be followed by the first joint Summer Schools NHS Hackday.

Recent work has focused on responses to cyber threats, information governance of shared records, campaigning for usability to be given greater priority and carrying out research that directly supported the Wachter Review.

Membership of the networks is open to all NHS CCIOs and CIOs, and similarly senior digital leaders  For details on how to apply email jon@digitalhealth.net
