UCLH selects Ingenica Solutions for inventory management
University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has reached a 10-year deal to outsource ICT services to Atos.

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) has selected Ingenica Solutions’ inventory management system to be deployed across the trust.

Ingenica’s 360 IM solution will allow the trust to see and control of all products moving into and out of it’s five hospitals across London, including a wide range of medical equipment.

This ability to track and trace products will hopefully enable UCLH to improve inventory and supply chain operations, improve efficiencies, and enhance patient safety.

The aim is for UCLH to have a better understanding of what products are being used, when, where, and ultimately on which patients.

Adrian Buckingham, deputy director of procurement and supply chain at the trust said, “UCLH is one of the most complex NHS trusts in the UK.

“We are committed to delivering top-quality patient care and as such we have taken time to ensure that our inventory management partner meets the current and future needs of the Trust.  We are looking forward to working with Ingenica Solutions.”

The solution is GS1 certified and will help the trust fulfil industry GS1 standards and the Department of Health’s Scan4Safety requirements.

Ingenica has previously worked with a number of NHS trusts including Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Taunton & Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.

  • Ingenica will enable real time management of supplies and save clinical time and money. It’s a great system and a great small business. Glad as a former employee to see them taking on this important role with UCLHS.

  • loved the qualifier “will hopefully enable”
