New and emerging CCIO and CIOs are to be a prominent feature at Rewired 2020 with issues as how to get technology representatives on the board a main topic.

The track will highlight how NHS IT professionals are meeting the challenges of digital with sessions including a panel discussing digital nursing across the UK and Ireland.

The conference sponsor of the CCIO and CIO track is Microsoft who are also sponsors of the Digital Health Rewired Leadership Summit, alongside IMS Maxims, on March 3.

Stephen Docherty, Industry Executive for Health for Microsoft and who is a previous NHS CIO, said: “I told colleagues about the last year’s Rewired event when we partnered with you and hosted a London CIO Council meeting there. The event was really good and had a real buzz to it – and had a great attendance.

“Delegates will hear from the experts and the leaders who are at the forefront of digital transformation across the health sector.

“I always find that listening to others helps to stimulate ideas in my own mind and the sharing of experiences and stories for me are very powerful.”

Docherty also added that Rewired has forged a strong reputation as the go-to health IT event across the digital health community.

“I also believe that anyone who has worked in the sector knows that this is the place to be. We look forward to sponsoring the Leadership Summit and CIO/CCIO track as part of the Expo,” he added.

The track will also celebrate local champions. Delegates will hear from the Digital Health Awards winners, as voted for by the members of the Digital Health Networks. Meet CCIO of the year Gareth Thomas; CNIO of the year Natasha Phillips (recently appointed as national CNIO); and CIO of the year Mandy Griffin.
