Cognitant Group partnerships enhance women’s health information

Cognitant Group has partnered with a range of women’s health charities and independent healthcare providers to enhance the delivery of quality patient information.

Through its Healthinote platform, healthcare professionals will be able to access and share content extracted from a wide range of legitimate and trustworthy sources. The recent partnerships includes MSI Reproductive Choices, the Fertility Network, the Miscarriage Association, and the British Pregnancy Advisory Service, bringing the total number of such partnerships to 15.

Clinicians will be able to provide an information prescription to their patients via email, text or QR code. This prescription will signpost patients to a amalgamated lists of resources which is available at any time. The information is pulled from a library of resources and will be available in multiple languages. Plus a range of formats will help engage users, including audio, visual, engaging and interactive 2D/3D animations and virtual reality format.

The platform will bring timesaving benefits to GP by minimising the time they need to spent to search for relevant and reliable information. The content will complement the existing catalogue of information available in Healthinote, sourced from the NHS A-Z catalogue; over 600 health and care videos from NHSX; and a library of Orcha approved apps.

Dr Juhi Tandon, co-founder and clinical director at Cognitant, said: “One of our main ambitions is to address and tackle health literacy barriers that otherwise prevent people from fully understanding their health and we deliver information in  a variety of formats ensuring we address health inequalities and reach people from diverse backgrounds.”

The announcement comes as the government closes it consultation on its Women’s Health Strategy, which identified improving the quality and accessibility of information and education on women’s health as one of its key priorities.
