Realise the potential of Digital Transformation at Rewired 2023

Digital health service transformation is occurring at scale in the NHS and internationally. A stage at Digital Health Rewired 2023 will showcase exciting developments and share lessons from successful programmes.

The Digital Transformation Stage will feature leaders in digital transformation who will reveal how they tackled the most challenging problems in healthcare.

Highlights of the programme include a keynote by Sebastian James, president and managing director of Boots UK and ROI, on tackling ‘wicked’ problems in healthcare. Rich Corbridge, chief information officer at Boots Health, will give a talk on personalised healthcare on the high street.

One of the high street’s most famous brands, Boots is making a highly unusual move into the digital health market. It is the first year the company has appeared at the Rewired festival.

The two-day stage will also present a keynote panel on digital transformation during 2022 in Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

“A year in digital transformation” will feature speeches by Rhidian Hurle, chief clinical information officer Wales, Stephen Gallagher, director of digital health and care for the Scottish Government, and Dan West, chief digital information officer at the Department of Health in Northern Ireland.

Other speakers to look forward to on the transformation stage include Hilary Fanning, director of research development and innovation at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, who will speak about digital transformation of cancer care.

Helen Thomas, CEO of Digital Health and Care in Wales, meanwhile, will be joining Andrew Griffiths, CEO of the Federation for Informatics Professionals (FEDIP) and others for a panel about building the digital workforce to enable transformation to succeed.

Other sessions will cover topics ranging from EPR optimisation to how to revolutionise outpatient care.

The Digital Transformation Stage is sponsored by InterSystems. “Every day, we’re seeing digital transformation enable care to be delivered in new and innovative ways, achieving better outcomes for patients and driving efficiency,” said Mike Fuller, regional director of marketing at InterSystems.

He added: “Scaling and sharing these innovations will empower the reimagining and true integration of our healthcare services, with digital transformation working to close the gaps in services to provide better visibility, accessibility, service user experiences, and outcomes.”

Taking place on March 14-15 at the Business Design Centre in London, Digital Health Rewired 2023 is a conference and exhibition that brings together all parts of the digital health community to celebrate the best of digital, data and innovation in health and care.

Health and care professionals will be able to network, collaborate and learn in person during two days of educational conference sessions, exhibitions, and meetings, all focused on sharing best practice and innovation.

All the conference sessions will be CPD accredited.

Returning for its fifth year is the Pitchfest competition, which will be split into two categories for 2023. The competition will see 23 shortlisted candidates battle it out, with the best start-up winning an NHS test bed for their idea or solution.
