Integrated Care Stage to again highlight shared care records delivery

With integrated care systems (ICSs) evolving fast and exploring new ways to deliver integrated health and social care, hear from pioneering teams making integrated care a reality on a dedicated stage at Digital Health Rewired 2023.

The Integrated Care Stage will feature examples of work from across the country on delivering shared care records, as was the case in last year’s edition of Rewired, as well as population health, patient portals and remote care at scale.

Notable speakers on the programme include day one keynote Frank Hester, founder and CEO of TPP, who will argue that there is another way to big ticket EPRs and that an NHS in financial crisis needs to right-size its investments.

Part two of this keynote session will be led by Saffron Cordery, interim chief executive at NHS Providers, who will focus on the learning from the organisation’s Digital Boards Programme and look ahead to their work with ICB leaders.

The keynote session on day two is focused on ICS leadership and will be chaired by chair and co-founder of The Shuri Network, Dr Shera Chok.

It will feature Lisa Emery, chief transformation, innovation and digital officer at NHS Sussex, Luke Readman, regional director of digital transformation at NHS England, London, and Linda Vernon, acting digital culture and transformation clinical lead at Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB.

Away from keynotes, another highlight which concludes day one is the Rewired Big Debate. Run in a simplified Oxford Union format, it will see two of the highest profile local NHS digital leaders robustly debate whether achieving integrated care requires a fundamental shift in digital priorities.

Chaired by Andy Kinnear, former NHS CIO and current partnerships director at Ethical Healthcare Consulting, the debate will see Beverley Bryant, chief digital information officer at Guy’s and St Thomas’ FT and King’s College Hospital FT, and Lee Rickles, Yorkshire & Humber Care Record programme director and CIO at Humber Teaching NHS FT, voice their opinions and arguments.

TPP, co-headline sponsors of Digital Health Rewired 2023, are also the confirmed sponsors of the Integrated Care Stage.

Director Ashley Brook said: “TPP are excited to be sponsoring the Rewired 2023 Integrated Care Stage. It will be great to hear from speakers who are working hard to digitise healthcare in order to empower NHS staff and patients across the UK.

“The focus of these sessions must be the need for IT systems that provide true joined up care, that are cost effective, and that can be deployed quickly and easily.”

Taking place on March 14-15 at the Business Design Centre in London, Digital Health Rewired 2023 is a conference and exhibition that brings together all parts of the digital health community to celebrate the best of digital, data and innovation in health and care.

Health and care professionals will be able to network, collaborate and learn in person during two days of educational conference sessions, exhibitions, and meetings, all focused on sharing best practice and innovation.

All the conference sessions will be CPD accredited.

Returning for its fifth year is the Pitchfest competition, which will be split into two categories for 2023. The competition will see 23 shortlisted candidates battle it out, with the best start-up winning an NHS test bed for their idea or solution.
