Andrew Moore has been appointed group chair of University Hospitals of Leicester Trust, Kettering General Hospital Foundation Trust, and Northampton General Hospital Trust. He will begin the role on 1 July 2024, taking over from John MacDonald, who is retiring after 35 years in the NHS.


Charlotte Hopkins was appointed Whittington Health NHS Trust’s acting medical director on 3 June 2024 until the end of February 2025. She previously worked as a consultant in sexual health and HIV medicine at Barts Health.


Colin Scales will leave Bridgewater Community Healthcare in the coming months to become deputy chief executive officer at Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board.


Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust announced that David Newey joined in June 2024 as its interim chief digital information officer. He will oversee the rollout of the trust’s Oracle EPR.


Debbie Loke, University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust’s director of digital and chief information officer has started a new position as the chief digital information officer at the trust this month.


On 24 June 2024, Maria O’Brien joined West London NHS Trust as chief executive from Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, where she was chief nurse and deputy chief executive.


Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust  (WHH) has announced the appointment of Nikhil Khashu as its new chief executive.

Khashu will join the organisation this autumn on a two-year interim basis and will replace Dr Simon Constable, who leaves WHH at the end of August after nearly 10 years at the trust.


Peter Kendal left his role as chief digital information officer at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust at the end of May 2024 and has joined United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust as its EPR programme director.


Sarah Wollaston resigned as chair of One Devon on 11 June 2024.


Jan Ditheridge retired as Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust’s chief executive this month. Karen Howell has since taken over as chief executive.


East London NHS Foundation Trust appointed Lorraine Sunduza as interim chief executive at the start of June 2023. Last month, her permanent role was confirmed as their new chief executive.


Stephen Hopkins has taken the role of chief executive at Capture Stroke. Hopkins has 40 years’ experience in the NHS as director of finance and IT in the acute sector, and as a chief executive of a community trust.
