UK-based nurse call solution provider Wandsworth Healthcare has collaborated with Scandinavian digital healthcare solutions provider DNV Imatis, to help NHS trusts improve the digital patient journey.

The collaboration, which launched in June 2024 after several months of discussions, aims to leverage Wandsworth Healthcare’s strong market track record alongside DNV Imatis’ solutions to support NHS trusts in tackling issues of low digital maturity and mounting pressure to increase operational efficiency.

DNV Imatis assists healthcare organisations in managing patient flows, logistics and overall operational efficiency, through its intelligent platform, Fundamentum.

Adam Sherry, managing director of the Wandsworth Group, said: “With NHS trusts under pressure to leverage digital health solutions and demonstrate digital maturity, we’re confident that this forward-thinking collaboration of two leaders in our respective fields will be well received by trusts across the UK.

“We’re excited about the ways in which this collaboration and DNV Imatis’ state-of-the-art technology can help trusts unlock more capacity to care, advance their digital maturity and, ultimately, enhance the digital patient journey.”

Initially, the collaboration will focus on four core solutions: electronic bed capacity management system, task management, alarm management, and patient engagement.

Johan Folkunger, chief executive of DNV Imatis, said: “Wandsworth Healthcare is a great fit for us, complementing our digital solutions with its strong industry reputation and firm foothold in trusts across the UK.

“Both companies are fully committed to driving operational efficiency and maximising patient care in the modern healthcare environment.”

A ‘digital patient journey experience centre’ is being developed at Wandsworth’s headquarters in Woking, Surrey to demonstrate the advanced digital integration capabilities that will result from the collaboration.

The centre is due to open in early October and will give NHS trusts the opportunity to visit to see the end-to-end process and digital integration features available, from the point of patients arriving at a hospital through to discharge.

It  will also be available as a venue for industry workshops and seminars.

DNV Imatis’ digital health solutions are used by more than 46,000 healthcare professionals in 45 hospitals across Europe, Australia and Canada.
