Gemma Peters, chief executive of UK cancer care charity Macmillan Cancer Support, is the latest to join the lineup of speakers announced for Digital Health Rewired 2025.

The charity provides specialist cancer information, healthcare professionals and services for 2.3 million people living with cancer.

Peters will discuss building digitally enabled integrated care services to meet the needs of people living with cancer, at Rewired which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham on 18-19 March 2025.

She has led groundbreaking initiatives in cancer research, care and clinical best practice across her 20 years of leadership experience in the UK charity, health and education sectors.

Peters was previously chief executive at Blood Cancer UK for more than five years, during which time she successfully lobbied the government on behalf of immunocompromised people with blood cancer during the rollout of vaccinations.

She also worked as executive director of fundraising and supporter development at King’s College London and King’s Health Partners, where she raised £610m through the award-winning  ‘World questions | King’s Answers’ campaign.

Peters will speak on the Integrated Care Stage on day two alongside NHS England chief clinical information officer Dr Alec Price-Forbes.

In his first conference appearance since his appointment, Price-Forbes will talk about how to bring the workforce, public and patients along on the NHS’ digital journey.

This year’s Digital Health Rewired event, which is co-headline sponsored by The Access Group and Microsoft, will see NHS leaders joined by healthcare providers and planners, researchers and academics, established industry leaders, suppliers and the most exciting start-ups.

The theme for Digital Health Rewired 2025 is ‘accelerating the shift from analogue to digital health’ and the event will be packed with insights and inspiration for anyone wanting to learn from the UK’s best digital health speakers and NHS case studies.

The Rewired programme has now been published in draft, showcasing the most important national programmes and local initiatives underway to accelerate the shift from analogue to digital health.
