Graphnet joins PRSB’s Standards Partnership Scheme

Graphnet has given its support to implementing standards across healthcare and joined the Professional Record Standards Body (PRSB)’s Standards Partnership Scheme.

As part of of its involvement, the company plans to complete the conformance assessment process against one of more of the PRSB’s standards. This will enable Graphnet, a shared care records and population health solutions for Integrated Care Systems supplier, to use the PRSB Quality Partner Mark.

PRSB Quality Partners have to demonstrate their conformance with a set of standards that are safe and clinical valuable. On its journey to achieving this, Graphnet will be provided with a practical support programme including briefings and guidance, workshops and the chance to network with other partners to help influence how the standards evolve over time.

Brian Waters, chief executive at Graphnet said: “As a long-time supporter of the PRSB’s work, we have been involved in consultations on standards being developed and so joining the Standards Partnership Scheme is a natural progression for our long-standing relationship.

“We are looking forward to further supporting the adoption and implementation of standards in health and social care and being part of the movement towards interoperability, better information and safer care.”

The scheme was launched in September 2021 and is designed to support digital technology software suppliers implement the standards needed to enable health professionals to deliver integrated care.

This means the health and care records of patients can be accessed by the correct person, whenever they need it which will ultimately lead to improved patient care through the adoption and meaningful use of standards.

Lorraine Foley, CEO of PRSB, added: “We are absolutely delighted to have Graphnet join our Standards Partnership Scheme. We have been working together for several years and their enrolment, along with their aim of shortly seeking conformance confirms their commitment to the development of information standards and to the organisations who use their software.”

  • PRSB seems content to sit on the sidelines and make grandiose pronouncements that everyone just ignores.
Why can’t it do anything practical like address the shocking poor usability or interoperability between systems. This would actually help staff and patients.
Maybe that is its purpose- to distract people from doing anything useful?
