BfB Labs welcomes three new members to Board of Directors

BfB Labs, creator of evidence-based digital therapeutics for children and young people’s mental healthcare, has appointed three new board members to support the next phase of its innovation and growth pathway.

Thomas Schreiber, Marian Ridley and Caroline McGuirk will be supporting BfB Labs to kick-start its growth journey, expand its fundraising capabilities, build new partnerships and guide new innovative breakthroughs.

Schreiber has been appointed chairman and has a track record in strategy, operations and sales with Google, Shazam and other companies. In particular, his expertise in scaling organisations and fostering innovation will be key to the company’s next phase of growth.

Ridley is an experienced NHS leader with expertise in healthcare systems, and will support BfB Labs’ mission to revolutionise children’s mental health. She is skilled in transformation and change management as well as major programme delivery.

McGuirk’s background is in private equity and venture capital and she has solid experience in structuring financial investments to achieve high standards of company financial health. She will work with industry partners to help BfB Labs strengthen investor relations, manage fundraising and develop value propositions for current and future investors.

BfB Labs is reimagining mental health for a new generation, by addressing what children, young people and their families most value: personalised, interactive support, that is accessible from home at any time of day. Earlier this year it was shortlisted for the 2023 Digital Health Rewired Pitchfest.

Its digital therapeutics are NICE-recommended and CE-marked MHRA-registered devices, and are widely used by NHS providers.

They use immersive experiences that are self-guided and fun to deliver far-reaching benefits by combining human-centred design, advanced game technology and powerful science. The company also aims to eliminate some of the biggest barriers to high-quality mental health care, including access, stigma and serving hard-to-reach populations.
