Newly elected Digital Health Networks Advisory Panels revealed

The results of the Digital Health Networks Advisory Panel elections are in and the new CCIO, CIO and CNIO Advisory Panel members can now be exclusively revealed.

Jon Hoeksma, CEO Digital Health, said: “Many congratulations to all those who were elected and everyone who took part in the elections, in which record numbers of network members voted.

“It’s really encouraging to have such a great mix of new and experienced network members elected, bringing fresh experience from across the sector.

“On the CCIO AP we have new members for trusts across England and a representative from Wales for the first time. From CIO, meanwhile, we have Ambulance trusts represented for the first time and very strong representation from trusts in the North of England in particular.

“While on the CNIO AP the successful candidates include a great mix of nurses, midwives and AHPs. The team at Digital Health look forward to working with the new advisory panels over the next two years.”

Next week, the newly elected panels will have their first meetings to make introductions and select a chair and vice chair. They will take place as follows:

  • Monday 10 July – 12:30-13:30 – CCIO Advisory Panel
  • Tuesday 11 July – 12:30-13:30 – CIO Advisory Panel
  • Thursday 13 July – 12:30-13:30 – CNIO Advisory Panel

Digital Health Networks is an independent professional community of over 7,000 NHS IT leaders, dedicated to collaboration and sharing best practices for the effective use of digital technologies and data across the NHS.

The newly elected advisory panel members will be officially introduced to fellow network members at Digital Health Summer Schools, 27-28 July, University of Birmingham, which is this year celebrating its tenth anniversary.  Registration, which is exclusive to network members, closes at the end of business on Friday.

The Networks are committed to sharing best practices for the effective use of digital technologies and data across the NHS and supporting the development of emerging digital leaders through mentorship and bursary programmes working with partners such as Fed-IP and the Shuri Network.

Advisory panel members take on a number of roles but are primarily the elected representatives providing a voice for colleagues, and working with national policy to influence the development of policies and programmes.
