⚽ People living with dementia in Scotland have been able to relive football memories via VR headset through an initiative backed by the Digital Health and Care Innovation Centre. The project, in collaboration with Abertay University and video game developer crab.Bit, aims to offer “therapeutic taster experiences”, according to a press release published by Alzheimer Scotland on 5 June.

????‍????Digital healthcare company, Mediktor has announced the acquisition of Sensely, a digital healthcare provider that pioneered an empathy-driven conversational platform to support hospital systems. A Mediktor press release published on 4 June, said the move will extend the company’s global presence to more than 35 countries.

????️Sano Genetics has launched its Light the Way programme, an online support platform offering free genetic education, testing and counselling for those at risk of genetic motor neurone disease (MND). A press release from the company released on 10 June, said the programme would offer over 200 genetic tests to individuals with a family history of MND, along with support and educational content.

????️  System C has announced the relaunch of its CareFlow EPR, following an unveiling at its own health and care conference in May 2024. According to a press release published on 10 June, the new-look EPR is now a “fully integrated patient record solution that combines patient administration, clinical operations, maternity and neonatal capability, pharmacy and prescribing”.

???? A strategic partnership has been forged between Health Innovation East, the innovation arm of the NHS in the East of England, and Cogniss, a no-code ecosystem for digital health solutions. A press release, published on 5 June, said that Health Innovation East Digital Hub will be “a first point of call” for healthcare entrepreneurs looking to create and commercialise digital health solutions into the NHS.
