????️ Better has been selected by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to launch an integrated health and care platform. The platform is expected to go live before the end of 2024 and will support the trust’s ambition to “digitise and integrate mental health and learning disability services” in the region.

???? According to a University of Oxford press release, scientists have developed an AI technology that is capable of predicting the risk of a heart attack, heart failure or cardiac death, using routine cardiac CT scans. It says predictions can be made up to 10 years in advance. The research team was led by scientists at the Radcliffe Department of Medicine at the university.

???? A consultant from Addenbrooke’s Hospital has been awarded a grant to boost his work that uses AI and video for early gastric cancer detection. According to a Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital story from 20 May, consultant gastroenterologist Dr Massimiliano di Pietro is to receive nearly £365,000, from Cancer Research UK.

???? A LinkedIn post from ACE Homecare Interreg published in May, has announced the launch of the ACE Community Platform. It says the platform is “your gateway to a collaborative ecosystem, strategically designed to connect and accelerate the development and adoption of innovation solutions in the North Sea region’s homecare landscape.”

???? Birdie, an intelligent platform for homecare, has been ranked 21st on Deloitte’s EMEA Fast 500, a list of the 500 fastest-growing tech companies in the EMEA region. Published this year, the Deloitte rankings follow on from Birdie being selected to join Tech Nations Future Fifty 2024, announced in March 2024.

Compiled by supply chain technology company, Unleashed, the Manufacturing Health Index shows that health, medical supplies and equipment manufacturers were one of the three sectors to see an increase.
