By defining and examining innovations through a theoretical lens and using frameworks, the adoption and diffusion of innovation, and how various factors can influence the uptake of new ideas and technologies in healthcare settings becomes clearer. These theories aim to provide insights into the barriers and enablers that shape the roll-out of new innovations.
