NHS Choices launches Pregnancy Hub

  • 18 March 2008

NHS Choices has extended the ‘Live Well’ section of its website with the introduction of the ‘Pregnancy Hub’.

The hub is an area of the site dedicated to helping people find out more about keeping well during pregnancy.

Based on NHS accredited information, the hub provides users with information about staying healthy and fit during pregnancy, including eating well, exercising, choosing where to give birth and options for antenatal care.

Advice is also available for fathers-to-be, with videos available to view on screening, antenatal classes, exercising after the birth and post-natal depression.

“We hope that this package will be an easy reference point for parents expecting babies, where they can quickly access a host of useful information on staying well during pregnancy and advice on antenatal care,” said a NHS Choices spokesman.

The ‘Pregnancy Hub’ is the latest addition to the NHS Choices’ website. Other recent additions have included a BMI calculator and a drinking assessment tool.
