Allocate to buy Sweden’s Time Care AB

  • 9 December 2009

Allocate Software, a UK provider of staff rostering software is to buy Time Care AB, a Swedish provider of workforce management software, with a strong focus on the healthcare market.

The purchase of Time Care will provide Allocate with a strong geographic footprint in the Nordic region, particularly in Sweden, where Time Care has customer relationships with some 57 hospitals and 110 of Sweden’s 290 municipalities.

Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Time Care was founded in 1993 and is a leading provider of workforce management and optimisation software for the healthcare market in the Nordic region.

The deal will also make Allocate one of the leading providers of workforce management software for the healthcare sector in Europe. Time Care has a range of software products that include tools for electronic rostering; managing agency and temporary staff; roster optimisation; and scheduling doctors.

Ian Bowles, CEO of Allocate Software, said: “Our business strategy for the healthcare sector is to be the leading supplier of workforce optimisation solutions in Europe. The acquisition of Time Care gives us a solid position in the Nordic region. Furthermore, the self-rostering application from Time Care is seen as a key addition to our existing workforce optimisation portfolio.”

Leendert Venema, CEO of Time Care, commented “The strategic fit between Allocate Software and Time Care is excellent for both customers and staff. The enlarged group is now one of the leading providers of workforce management software for the healthcare sector in Europe.”

In November Allocate announced a strategic partnership with NHS Professionals to deliver long-term fully integrated workforce management services to NHS organisations.
