Mid Yorks cuts PACS processing times with Esteem

The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust has partnered with Esteem to migrate their Picture Archiving and Communication Systems long term storage. Moving their PACS archiving from a shared central location to an in house local infrastructure reduced the Trust’s image processing time from up to 10 minutes down to seconds.

Alfresco selected by Sussex Partnership

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust will deploy Alfresco One enterprise content management software. Alfresco One is a hybrid on-premise and cloud system that integrates with any existing software and enables up-to-date documents to be accessed from any location.

NHS National Services Scotland partners with arvato

NHS NSS will use arvato’s HR Direct to transform how it delivers HR to 3,600 specialist staff. Renamed as HR Connect, the online self-service platform will provide employees with 24 hour access to a wide range of HR policies, procedures, guidelines, tools, hints and tips and a library of frequently asked questions.

Bath trust moves into Cerner data centre

The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust successfully transferred the hosting of its data centre from BT to Cerner on 4 July. Tanya Beale, chief information officer at the RUH said: “Making sure patients remained unaffected during the switchover was a key priority for us, so we’d like to extend our thanks to Cerner, BT and HSCIC for their excellent support in enabling the transfer with minimal disruption to the Trust’s operational services.”

In Practice Systems and Niche Health announce iGPR partnership agreement

Niche Health’s paperless insurance reporting solution iGPR will be deployed to UK GP practices using the INPS Vision clinical system at no cost. The solution enables practices to complete insurance reports in a matter of minutes managing the end to end process including receiving the report request, reviewing patient consent, creating the report with automatic redaction of non-permitted information, report delivery and payment electronically.

Milner Fenwick and Hospedia sign distribution deal

Educational health video clips from Milner Fenwick will be available at patients’ bedsides through the Hospedia Patient Centred Care Platform, which is in operation at more 175 hospitals worldwide. Relevant videos can be automatically assigned to patients, to educate them on their specific condition as well as encouraging patients to better understand and manage their recovery.

SilverCloud Health announces partnerships

SilverCloud Health will be the first service provider to offer access to online psychological therapies via Mayden’s new referral hub, Prism. The hub allows professionals working within the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies programme to refer suitable patients to a range of services offered by online therapy providers, with data about the outcomes being sent directly back to the patient’s secure NHS record.

SilverCloud Health has also announced an integration with Patient Case Management Information System, which will allow the secure transfer of IAPT services’ patient data between the two systems. Previously IAPT care pathway data were collected in the SilverCloud Platform and entered manually into the PCMIS patient portal, creating manual duplication and the potential for errors. Now it can be automatically imported into PCMIS.

EMIS strengthens partnership with Lexacom

Lexacom has been made a recommended partner for digital dictation solutions by Emis. Lexacom 3 provides a fully integrated range of services for digital dictation including speech recognition and outsourced transcription, as well as Lexacom Mobile for dictation use on the move and ‘print to post’ services to complete the workflow solution.
