A discussion of the technology landscape in Wales across health, social care and the voluntary sector. A deep dive into DHCW’s new strategy and what it means for health boards and local authorities, what changes we expect to see over the coming months and years across Wales, and how these might be funded. We’ll look at what challenges those providing care are facing and the barriers to working collaboratively. Finally, we’ll discuss how tech can help support a person-centred, preventative approach to care and how Wales can make the most of the tools available.

A look at DHCW’s new strategy and what it means for health boards and local authorities in Wales
    • A brief outline of the key points • Why they have chosen to focus on key areas such as interoperability and AI
    • How partners form part of their strategy – what can we all do to help achieve the aims?
    • Will there be funding to support the aims and how will it be accessed?

The key challenges faced by health and social care in Wales
    • Thoughts from those in health boards and local authorities about the challenges they’re currently facing
    • How does the new strategy help to address these challenges? • What are the barriers to working collaboratively between health and social care and promoting interoperability?

How can technology improve person-centred care?
    • From the perspective of health boards, social care and DHCW, what are we doing to put the person at the centre of their care and how are we/could we use digital tools to support this?
