Oxford Health picks Advanced EPR
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust has awarded preferred supplier status to Advanced Health and Care to provide a community and mental health electronic patient record system.

Advanced aquired Strand Technology in September 2012, and is to provide its CareNotes EPR to the trust. This will give it a single, integrated and interoperable EPR that incorporates clinical pathways including child, community and mental health, and specialised services.

The contract is the third win for Advanced in the NHS community and mental health sector, which is showing signs of increased activity as the contracts placed by the National Programme for IT come to an end. Advanced says around 68 community and mental health contracts are expected to be renewed between 2014 and 2016.

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust provides mental health, community and children and families services to people living in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Swindon, Wiltshire, Bath and North East Somerset. A key part of the EPR project will be to provide mobile access to up to 3,500 clinical staff.

Vin Murria, chief executive, Advanced Computer Software Group commented: “We are looking forward to supporting Oxford Health as it delivers efficient and enhanced quality care for its patients and their families.”
