Patients at The Groves Medical Centre now have the ability to pay for private services using a form of cryptocurrency called ‘MedTokens’.

The contract means up to 1.6 million patients across 242 surgeries will have access to a digital symptom checker and an online appointment system.
The ruling body investigated three issues about the adverts for the service, which allows patients to talk to their GP via their smartphone.
The app will be rolled out initially in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire later this month before being introduced in other areas in early 2019.
